If you want to fish off our coast you need permission from the EU

If you want to fish, have lobster pots or suchlike off our coastline, you need a licence from the EU & to buy a quota by paying a fee to the EU.

The local council is responsible for taking the application for a licence from the EU, paying the fee over to the EU & for enforcing the quota set by the EU.
